I just finished reading a book. A book which is beautifully written by Jojo Moyes titled “Me Before You”. I bet many of you have seen the movie. So have I. The movie made me cry, and the novel did too.
You see, it’s usually a “well-functioned” person who motivates a cripple, but funnily in this story it’s the quadriplegic guy who actually changes someone’s life! Will Traynor can’t move most parts of his body. Despite his inability and bitterly sarcastic attitude, he makes Louisa Clark, his carer, do things beyond what she thinks is her limit. He is scored on my heart too for his witty and broadening character.
Check his quotes that have left me thinking, feeling moved as well as smiling wide!
I’m not asking you to psychoanalyse yourself. I’m just asking, what do you want? Get married? Pop out some ankle biters? Dream career? Travel the world?
You should be out there, claiming the world as your own, getting in trouble in bars, showing off your strange wardrobe to dodgy men.
You’ve got to get away from here, Clark. Promise me you won’t spend the rest of your life stuck around this bloody parody of a place mat.
You only get one life. It’s actually your duty to live it as fully as possible.
It always does feel strange to be knocked out of your comfort zone. But I hope you feel a bit exhilarated too. Your face when you came back from diving that time told me everything; there is a hunger in you, Clark. A fearlessness. You just buried it, like most people do. I’m not really telling you to jump off tall buildings, or swim with whales or anything (although I would secretly love to think you were), but to live boldly. Push yourself. Don’t settle. Wear those stripy legs with pride.

The book is more detailed but the movie I’d say is as good as the book!

Filmnya ga bikin aku sedih gegara peran si Louisa yang kocak mba, dan bukunya belum aku baca.jadi belum bisa sesedih mba :p
