Being in a relationship with my husband for 11 years has taught me a lot. That it is always better to have someone you’re still comfortable with even in the most uncomfortable period, than someone that sends great sparks… ’cause sparks disappear.

There are many friendships last forever because they accept each other for both the good and bad sides. But funny, when it’s about our romantic partner, we tend to wish they’d be perfect while nobody is perfect.

I’ve learned to love him like a friend. He has too. We are still learning, we will still be learning. It makes us able to tolerate, to forgive, to understand, and to accept better.

This year, I don’t have much to say. We’ve been through the shittiest time, we survived. So I guess we’re pretty much awesome.

It’s a long journey until we’re both old and wrinkling… I hope we stay together.
